Water retention

One of the major side effects of steroid usage is water retention. Water retention is the buildup of excess fluid in the body, caused by an imbalance of water, salt or other minerals. It can result in weight gain and cause a significant health risk when left untreated. Water retention is most commonly seen in the face, hands, or ankles.

As you know if you watched our Dianabol video, Dianabol is a potent oral anabolic steroid. They're not called "D-Bol" for nothing. D-bol can cause significant water retention and some people didn't like looking like a bloated zombie while on it. For this reason, many users who are prone to water retention might want to include a diuretic in their steroid cycle with D-bol or add one on PCT (Post Cycle Therapy).

The most commonly used diuretics are: Lasix, Anderol, Microzide and Bumex (Furosemide). Lasix is very popular with bodybuilders. While most of us know which diuretic to choose and how to use them, we thought it would be a great time to put together a complete article on how they should be used.

Water retention

First let's look at how diuretics work, and what role water retention plays in the body. Water is necessary for life and survival. We all know that we need to drink plenty of water for health reasons, but most of us don't understand why. Water makes up about 60% of your body weight, and bodies are mostly made up of water (your brain is 80% water). The primary function of water is for flushing out toxins. Your body can only remove toxins through sweating, urination and bowel movements. You need to lose water when you shower and when you work out or exercise, but the problem is that the toxins are also removed during these activities. When your body loses a lot of water it will start to release more and more sodium (salt) and potassium (salt). This will cause your body to retain a lot of fluid in the cells, which is known as edema (water retention).

Your kidneys are responsible for maintaining your blood pressure. When there is an excessive amount of fluid in the bloodstream this can cause heart problems for various reasons. Fluid retention can actually make you feel sick as well. Some people will complain of muscle cramps, dizziness, fatigue and a high blood pressure. This is because the blood has to work harder in order for it to get the optimal amount of pressure into your arteries.

Before we get into how to use diuretics, we should first make a distinction between edema and fluid retention. Edema is the medical term for water retention due to excessive fluid in the cells. When you have increased levels of sodium (salt) and potassium in your system, your body will attempt to hold on to all of this water in its cells. This is typically due to kidney failure or kidney disease. On the other hand, fluid retention does not mean that you have increased levels of sodium (salt) or potassium in your system; just that you are holding on to a lot of water or fluid inside the cells.

While steroids can increase your appetite and irresponsibly affect your diet, it is important to note that steroids also affect your kidneys. They make them work harder to filter out waste products such as nitrogen, so they are more likely to become damaged. Long-term use of anabolic steroids can lead to a decline in health, and finally, death. Many steroids will affect your kidneys or dehydrate you.

You may want to think about including diuretics in your steroid cycle, or include them on a PCT (Post Cycle Therapy) if you are prone to water retention. This is one of the most common side effects that people have with anabolic steroid usage.

1. Microzide

This diuretic is very effective in increasing the urination and can help you get rid of any excess water in your system along with any diuretics that you're using during a cycle, especially since it acts as a mild diuretic as well.

2. Lasix

It is very effective. It is great for getting rid of water and other fluids that are not needed in your system. It is very effective at decongesting your blood as well as getting rid of excess water that is built up.

3. Anderol (Acebutolol)

This drug should only be prescribed by a doctor, but it has some positive side effects that can help you get rid of excess fluid in your body due to the fact it causes mild dehydration in your body while using this drug as well as losing some weight during use due to the fact it makes your metabolism higher than normal.
